Stepping outside of Toledo to capture this one. Madhatter Music Company was opened by Billy Hanaway and Ed Cratty in 1988. The store was named after their band, Madhatter.

Boogie Records, 2629 W. Central Ave.

Located in the Westgate Village Shopping Center. Created, owned and/or operated by Pat O’Connor, Jim Rodbard, Don Rose, Debbie Marinik, Steve Essick over the years. After closing Boogie Records Pat O’Connor opened Culture Clash, a record store located at 4020 Secor Road, in 2004. Demolished with Westgate Mall. Site Status: The Fresh Market.

Peaches Records & Tapes

2559 S. Reynolds Rd.

Peaches Records & Tapes on Reynolds Road opened on October 14, 1977 in Reynolds Plaza. James Castello was store director from 1977 to 1979. Toledo artist/painter Dave Wisniewski was the store artist. In 1989 Peaches became Coconuts Music & Movies. The Coconuts at this location closed c1996. Savers Thrift Store occupied the space from 1998 through 2017.
