Located across from the former Driftwood Lounge (aka Frontier Bar). Also known as Barney’s Texaco Service and Glanzman Texaco Service. The Texaco station (above) was demolished c1990s. The Dewey Oil Company building (later the Texas Company, then Star Oil Company) remains as Joe’s car sales.



Before Brown Pontiac, and the Central Avenue Strip, there were various residences, small businesses, and some woods between Reynolds and Holland-Sylvania. C.L. Bleckner lived at 5625 Central.


Formerly Kahns’ Foreign Cars, located on 2956 Dorr Street. Created in 1951 by brothers Habib and Nasr Kahn. Closed 1991.
