Henry G. Haefner Farm, 2830 Holland-Sylvania Rd.

In 1861 this land was still owned by Emmeline Wadsworth. In 1875 it was owned by Jeremiah Micham (1822-1898) and in 1888 by Riley Micham. A map from 1900 shows a house on the property facing Holland-Sylvania Road. Charles Micham, the brother of Riley, owned the land on the south side of his brothers property. Henry Haefner married Louisa Gerner in June 1897 in Lucas County. By 1910, the Riley property was the home and farm of Henry and Louisa Haefner.

Bond Farm, 3019 N. McCord.

In 1920 this was the farm of Edna and Burton C. Bond. Edna died a widow in 1935. Harvey and Helen Gillhouse purchased the property in 1936 and appear to have owned it until 1969. The home was demolished and Somerset Plaza was built c1984 on the old Bond farm. The plaza has since been renamed, St James Shoppes.
