Arnie’s Saloon, 3332 W. Central Ave.(Westgate)

Formerly Scotty’s Hamburgers. Arnie’s Saloon opened in 1980 and was owned by Arnie Elzey. The saloon was sold by Elzey in 2008. The new owner renamed the establishment “Arnie’s Again.” Arnie’s Again was demolished in 2014 to make way for new development.

Peeler Music, 2027 S. Byrne Rd.

Formerly Shirk Television (1965), House of Tapes (1969) and Elite Travel (c1979-83). Robert Peeler opened Peeler Music in 1984. Peeler Music closed in 2008. More details in Robert Peelers obituary included in the read more portion of this post.

Built c1947. Some family names associated with this property: Rosinski; Sheats. Property was purchased by “SDT 1 Properties,” assumed to be Stephen D. Taylor. Also assumed that Taylor Cadillac will demolish the house and expand their parking lot, if it has not done so already.
